Privacy e Cookie Policy

Welcome to the page dedicated to the privacy and cookie policy of Studio Legale Meliadò. In accordance with Article 13 of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereinafter also referred to as the “GDPR”), we provide information regarding the processing of personal data carried out by our Firm.

This document is updated periodically. To always be informed of the latest version, please contact the Data Controller.

WHY WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Studio Legale Meliadò will use the data provided by the data subjects exclusively for the execution of the professional mandate entrusted to it, whether in an out-of-court or litigation context, as well as for the fulfillment of legal and contractual obligations arising from the relationship.

For each new client, in the preliminary phase, the data will be used exclusively to draft and send a cost estimate to the data subject, formulated based on their needs.

The data may also be used for credit protection purposes and for the better management of rights related to the specific contractual relationship.

For the sole purpose of carrying out professional activities and complying with legal or contractual obligations, personal data may be communicated to third parties, whether public or private, such as the Firm’s collaborators, technical and accounting consultants, notaries, accountants, banking institutions, etc. The professional activity may also require the use of postal services, with the necessary communication of your data to the responsible service provider.

Furthermore, lawyers are subject to obligations established by anti-money laundering regulations (Legislative Decree 231/2007), which may require the communication of personal data to the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Bank of Italy, but only in cases provided by law.

Under no circumstances will the personal data processed by the Firm be subject to dissemination.

WHAT DATA WE PROCESS

For the activities mentioned above, we may process, in addition to name, surname, place and date of birth, residence data, tax code, and VAT number, also sensitive data as defined by Article 9 of the GDPR. This includes personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, as well as genetic data, biometric data intended to uniquely identify a natural person, and health-related data.

Processing will be carried out with explicit consent or in an automated manner when necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim, or when the judicial authority exercises its functions (Article 9, paragraph 2, letter F, GDPR).

Pursuant to Article 10 of the GDPR, the Firm may also process data relating to criminal convictions and offenses or related security measures, in compliance with current national regulations.

The communication of such data, including sensitive data, is optional for the data subject. However, without such data, the mandate cannot be accepted or continued.

Refusal to provide consent for informational or advertising purposes will only result in the inability to receive information about the services offered by the Firm and will not affect other professional relationships in place.

HOW LONG AND WHERE WE STORE THE DATA

The personal data collected for the above purposes will be retained by the Firm until the completion of the professional assignment and, in any case, no longer than the limitation period of rights arising from the contractual relationship, or no more than 10 years from their acquisition.
